Product warranty
The manufacturer guarantees the free-of-charge repair of defects that are due to material or manufacturing faults. If you discover a defect, you are obliged to report it immediately to Plaspack Netze GmbH, Dr. Grobben-Straße 1, A-4690 Schwanenstadt.
All claims under this product liability must be made in writing to Plaspack Netze GmbH, Dr. Grobben-Straße 1, A-4690 Schwanenstadt. All claims must be accompanied by a description of the manufacturing defect, preferably with a photograph of the defect, or the awning for laboratory testing purposes, and proof of purchase of the product, including a sales receipt or invoice of the purchase.
Plaspack Netze GmbH will not be liable for any claim made outside of this warranty description with respect to a product under the following circumstances.
This warranty does not cover the following:
- Improper or improper use of the product.
- Dimensional deviations from Austronet at -4%, Austrosail / Austrosail Nano -3%.
- Improper assembly.
- If the defect is wholly or partially due to an act or omission of any person other than Plaspack Netze GmbH.
- If the product has been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident, violence or abuse.
- If the product has been altered or modified in a manner not authorized in writing by Plaspack Netze GmbH.
- Inadequate care or natural wear and tear.
- If the product has been used in a manner that violates or conflicts with the instructions or warnings provided by Plaspack Netze GmbH.
- Damage to the product caused by: Exposure to chemicals (including chlorine), placing the product near an open flame (including flames from a barbecue), stretching the product beyond its tensile strength and resilience, especially due to mechanical friction, wind damage caused by strong wind, bulging of the material caused by improper additional loads such as snow or water bags.
The manufacturer is not liable for causal or consequential damage of any kind. The manufacturer has the discretion to honor the warranty by repair or replacement (but no other component). For custom made awnings, the warranty can only be applied to the originally specified dimensions. New deliveries with changed dimensions are not permitted. Further claims do not exist. In the event of unjustified warranty claims, the manufacturer reserves the right to return the goods freight collect.
The easy 2 shade warranty services are free of charge for the first 2 to 3 years after purchase.
From the third and fourth year of use onwards, the warranty service is reduced by 10% of the purchase price each year, so that in the third year of use 30%, in the fourth year 40% and in the fifth 50% etc. must be charged as the customer's share.
Product warranty for products made of Austronet fabric (knitted fabric)
5-year warranty against UV radiation. The warranty covers direct consequential damage caused by UV radiation, such as tearing or disintegration of the material. The easy 2 shade product has a warranty liability of within 5 years from thedate of purchase from an authorized easy 2 shade dealer, general agent, trading partner, or directly from Plaspack Netze GmbH.
This warranty does not cover the following:
- Fading of the color of the product (even if caused by exposure to UV radiation).
- Streaks in the material or slight differences in the color of the awning with samples, catalog or the Internet. These deviations and appearances correspond to the possibilities of the current state of the art.
- Irregularities in the cloth, such as dots of color, weaving defects or minor irregularities can occur for production reasons and can not be completely excluded according to the current state of weaving and coating technology.
- Dimensional deviations of -4%.
Product warranty for products made of Maxim, Finoo, Acrylic, Vista and Sunsilk fabric
2 years / 3 years / 5 years warranty according to Austrian and European product liability law. The easy 2 shade product made of Finoo and Maxim has a product liability of 2 years, the easy 2 shade product Sunsilk has a product liability of 3 years and the acrylic has a product liability of 5 years from the date of purchase from an authorized easy 2 shade dealer, general agent, trading partner or directly from Plaspack Netze GmbH.
The materials are high performance products, which must meet strict technical requirements.
Although only first choice controlled cloths are used in the production, there are limits to perfection. Under certain circumstances, small dots of color or weaving faults may occur. From today's technical point of view, these causes cannot be solved due to technical production reasons. This is not considered a complaint or reason for complaint.
This warranty does not cover the following:
- Fading of the color of the product (even if caused by the action of UV radiation).
- Any kind of contamination due to environmental or other influences, which are not caused by Plaspack Netze GmbH.
- Creases or light fractures: Occur during the making up and folding of the sail.
- Waviness in the seam and web area: Can occur along the side seams, in the area of the seams and in the middle of the webs. The cloth is doubled at the seams. This results in different tensile properties. Tension in the assembled state can promote this effect.
- Bulges and ripples: Can be caused by the formation of water pockets.
- Tightness of seams: Especially with new sails, depending on the inclination of the sail, it is always the case that water leaks through the seams. This condition is state of the art. That means Maxim, Finoo, Acryl and Sunsilk are water repellent. The cloth panels are sewn with a special tear-resistant double-laid seam. Due to the needle stitches, water may penetrate through the stitches, especially in the beginning.
- Irregularities in the cloth such as dots of color, weaving faults or minor irregularities can occur for production reasons and cannot be completely ruled out according to the current state of weaving and coating technology.
- Dimensional deviations of -3%.
During the warranty period, defective awnings can be sent freight collect to Plaspack Netze GmbH. You will then receive a new or a repaired awning free of charge.

After the warranty period has expired, you also have the option of sending the defective sun awning to us for repair.
Repairs after the expiration of the warranty period are subject to a charge, including shipping. Your legal rights are not limited by this warranty. In case of return, please do not forget the receipt or invoice.
